VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers are essential to our ability to provide equine-assisted services and therapies to people with special needs, veterans, and at-risk youth. Few things are more rewarding than sharing in the miracles that happen here every day! Our greatest need for volunteers is assisting participants who are learning to ride and care for horses.
WHAT CAN VOLUNTEERS DO TO HELP?
Volunteer in Lessons: The majority of volunteers assist our PATH Intl certified riding instructors with the students who are learning to handle and ride horses each week in our therapeutic riding lessons. More than 300 hours of volunteer time are needed each week!
Maintain the Facility: Mowing, landscaping, cleaning, and general repairs and maintenance are constant needs for our 22 acres and 20-stall barn.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO VOLUNTEER?
Volunteers must be 14 or older and must complete the New Volunteer Orientation workshop before signing up as a volunteer. You must also be able to pass a background check, and be physically fit enough to walk/jog for 45 minutes at a time and lift 25lbs comfortably.
