We Need Your Help!
Two cherished members of our herd, Fiona and Moo, have recently experienced unexpected health issues, and their medical costs are approaching $10,000.00. Please consider donating toward their treatment costs.
Moo is a friendly, well-rounded, draft-cross, and she is used in therapeutic riding lessons of all types (including Operation Mount Up!) and mental health sessions. She has been experiencing severe stifle pain (stifles are comparable to our knees) that we have been trying to manage with every standard medication and treatment. Unfortunately, Moo is not responding to these treatments the way we had hoped, so we are looking at the only other option available to help her and it is amazing – but it comes at a significant cost – approximately $3,000. Moo is dearly loved by both participants and staff, and we would sincerely appreciate your support toward helping this sweet mare receive the treatment we hope will ease her discomfort and have her back in action!
Fiona, a patient and willing Norwegian Fjord, suffered a recent bout of colic. Fortunately, due to the quick response by volunteers, staff, and veterinary personnel, Fiona responded well to treatment and avoided the need for surgery. But she had to stay two nights at Woodside Equine Clinic, receiving ’round the clock observation and treatment. During the examinations and tests being conducted for the colic, Fiona was diagnosed with significant gastrointestinal ulcers. Ulcers like these are quite painful and can cause other health issues, so it is imperative that Fiona receives treatment to bring her the comfort and relief she needs in order to be able to provide services to her participants! Her emergency care and follow-up medications will exceed $6,000. Please help us by donating toward Fiona’s veterinary bills!
