
Equine Specialist inMental Health and Learning Workshop and Skills Test
This three-day workshop is offered to:
- Equine professionals and therapeutic riding instructors who are interested in working with individuals with mental health and/or learning issues
- Mental Health or Education Professionals who are interested in gaining experience in incorporating EAAT into their current treatment protocols
- Provide an overview of Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) standards, core values, EAL and EAP programs, and examples of what EAL and EAP programs may look like
- Define the role of the equine specialist
- Educate individuals on safe equine handling practices, equine body language, and equine communication
- Offers roleplay and hands-on experience
- Collaborative discussions regarding the therapy and education teams and their roles
- Prepare individuals who are seeking the PATH Intl. ESMHL Certification

- Workshop & Horsemanship Skills Test: $675 (Includes continental breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks)
- Workshop Only: $500
- Horsemanship Skills Test Only: $175
- Audit Only: $250

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Dream Catchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center reserves the right to cancel the workshop & skills test on or before February 12, 2021 if registration is not likely to cover expenses. Dream Catchers will refund all registration fees in full should we cancel the workshop. Dream Catchers will NOT be responsible for any travel or other expenses incurred.
Participants choosing to cancel after February 12, 2021 will receive a refund minus a non-refundable $200.00 deposit.
Late Registrations: Registrations may be accepted after the February 21, 2021 deadline if there is still space available, however additional fees will apply. Please contact Beth Yurkovac at byurkovac@dreamcatchers.org for a detailed list of additional fees that will be required.
